Engagement Board

The Engagement Board works alongside the Local Enterprise Partnership Board in setting and delivering an ambitious post-Covid vision for Cheshire and Warrington, concentrating on major economic issues that will frame our region’s future direction. All members of the Engagement Board live or work in Cheshire and Warrington and are aged between 18-27.

"Our role is about supporting the development of the local economy and making our area an even greater place to live, work, study or invest. Cheshire and Warrington are already home to about 1 million people and as we make our plans, we want to ensure that the voice of young people contributes to shaping the future.

Issues might include what type of housing is built, the transport and public transport network, digital infrastructure, or whether we have enough people with the right skills for the jobs in our area. We want to know what is important for young people; how we grow whilst respecting the environment and sustainability and how we make sure everyone is included in the prosperity we generate. Our Engagement Board will provide a forum for your views and opinions, opportunity to influence our plans and to engage with and involve other young people in our region."
