While the visitor attraction is run by The Jodrell Bank Centre for Engagement, the observatory is part of Jodrell Bank Centre for Astrophysics in the University’s School of Physics and Astronomy.
Jodrell Bank Centre for Astrophysics carries out a wide range of modern astrophysics research. The Centre has a particular expertise in radio-mm observational astronomy but also makes observations at a wide range of other wavelengths and combines these with theory and modelling.
