Role:                   Programme Coordinator – Skills Bootcamps
Location:         Winsford (Hybrid Working)
Hours:                30 - 37 hours per week (flexible working/compressed hours considered)
Duration:          Fixed Term to 31st March 2025 (moving to permanent subject to funding)
Salary:               £25,000 - £30,000 per annum / pro rata

 

About Us

Enterprise Cheshire and Warrington (ECW) leads on the strategic economic development of the Cheshire and Warrington sub-region and as part of that is responsible for the delivery of a range of Government and other programmes, including a £10 million Growing Places Fund revolving investment programme; one of the most successful Enterprise Zones in the country generating an annual income of £3  million; two Life Sciences Funds currently valued at just under £15 million; the sub-region’s interest in the £140 million suite of Evergreen loan funds; DfE’s Careers and Enterprise Co-ordinator programme; and Skills Bootcamps.  

Skills Bootcamps are part of the Government’s Lifetime Skills Guarantee, helping everyone gain skills for life. Skills Bootcamps support ECW’s social and economic objectives of delivering a sustainable, healthy, inclusive and growing economy.

After receiving over £1M in 2022-23, ECW was awarded a further £1.2 million from the Department for Education (DfE) to deliver Skills Bootcamps to over 350 learners in Cheshire and Warrington from April 2023.  The success of this programme has secured further funding into 2025 and we are expanding our operational team to deliver this programme.

The Role

The purpose of this post is to contribute to operational delivery of the Skills Bootcamp programme, working closely with the Quality and Operations Manager, Project Analyst and Programme Manager.

You will be key in supporting in the day-to-day delivery of all aspects of the programme, including fund/grant tracking & management, compliance with DfE evidence, monitoring, evaluation and audit requirements of the Skills Bootcamp projects and its delivery partners.

Responsibilities will include:

  1. Monitoring / controlling timely payments to training providers / claims to all delivery partners
  2. Assisting with evidence requirements for DfE through accurate data capture & QA checks against funding agreements
  3. Assisting with month & year end processing, including fulfilling all audit requirements of Cheshire East Council, as ECW’s accountable body.
  4. Support engagement throughout delivery, undertaking visits & regular project meetings with suppliers/delivery partners
