Strategy and Public Affairs Director

Melissa is responsible for the ongoing development and delivery of the Economic Strategy for Cheshire & Warrington.

She oversees work to deliver the new sustainable and inclusive economic plan which includes developing the evidence base, identifying policy and investment priorities, and influencing and co-creating with external organisations that have a role in delivering the Strategy. Melissa also leads on a number of Cheshire and Warrington Leaders’ Board priorities including the delivery of a cross-sector Commission on sustainable and inclusive growth; the development, consultation and planning for a Fair Employment Charter; and the development and delivery of the Net Zero programme, affiliated with the UK Government Department for Energy Security and Net Zero. Melissa has over 20 years’ experience in local and regional economic development and has worked in policy and delivery roles across the academic, public and community sectors prior to joining Enterprise Cheshire and Warrington.
