Local employers invited to hire the latest talent at University of Chester’s Part-time Jobs Fair

15/07/2025

The Fair will take place on Friday, October 10

Businesses looking to hire the best in new talent are invited to showcase their latest part-time and seasonable vacancies at the University of Chester’s Part-time Jobs Fair.

As part of the University’s Careers and Employability service, the Employer Engagement team is dedicated to bringing together recruiting employers and students seeking work.

Through their ‘Earn While You Learn’ campaign, the team is particularly encouraging employers to promote any part-time roles or seasonal vacancies they may have available now or soon to Chester’s student community during the first term of the next academic year.

To support this, the University will be hosting its inaugural Part-time Jobs Fair at its Exton Park site to complement existing initiatives. This event will offer the opportunity for several employers to showcase their job vacancies on campus, at no cost. Employers will be able to meet informally with students, face-to-face at their recruitment stand, to promote their opportunities while also raising their organisation’s profile.

The Fair will take place on Friday, October 10 from 11am to 1.30pm in the Downes Sports Hall at the University’s Exton Park campus. Employers are encouraged to apply early by filling in a short online booking form and details can be obtained by emailing employers@chester.ac.uk. The event will form part of the University’s Welcome Week activities for new incoming students.

Kirsty Badrock, Employer Engagement Co-ordinator, said: “With over 16,000 students, many of whom are keen to earn extra income alongside their studies, the University of Chester recognises the value of part-time work. Not only does it help students financially, but it also equips them with valuable skills and experience that enhance their future career prospects.”
