Green Expo Awards: Call for Entries

The Green Expo Awards Dinner will be held on November 14

During COP29 in November, where world leaders come together to discuss climate change and sustainability goals, Chester is host to the Green Expo Awards for the North West.

Green Expo is the North West and North Wales’ regional event to celebrate and show progress on fighting climate change and achieving carbon reduction towards Net Zero, sustainability and all things Green.

The Green Expo Awards Dinner will be held on Thursday, November 14th and organisers are seeking entries from innovators and organisations across the region.

There are nine award categories for any organisation or individual to enter a suitable category, entry is free and designed to be quick and easy. The awards are:

  • Green Startup of the Year,
  • Innovation in Energy,
  • Innovation in the Built Environment,
  • Innovation in Transportation,
  • Innovation in Commercial Markets,
  • Innovation in Industrial Markets,
  • Award for Community Engagement,
  • Award for Learning,
  • Award for Inward Investment.

Jane Harrad-Roberts, Project Director for Green Expo said; “Great things are going on in the region and we need to shout about them to an international audience and learn quickly from the skills we are developing here. There is still time to enter the awards and a few opportunities left to sponsor or take a table.”

Green Expo Awards Dinner attendees will be able to add their voice to messages going to COP29 from Green Expo. The Green Expo Photography Competition 2024 winners will also be on display again at the event.

Professor Averil Macdonald OBE, Emeritus Professor at the University of Reading will be speaking about Green Energy skills and careers and Mark Edwardson, former BBC North West Tonight presenter will host the awards.
