visitor economy 21/10/2022

£10 Entry Level tickets available for all fixtures

Chester Racecourse will introduce a new entry level ticket price at £10 for all fixtures next year, including the much-loved three-day Boodles May Festival. The £10 pricing policy will sit alongside a number of other changes and concessions to encourage racegoers to enjoy a great value day out.

Combining the Open Course and Dee Stand enclosures, racegoers will be able to enjoy the facilities and raceday viewing from both the centre of the track and the stand side in the newly formed Roodee Enclosure for just £10. Additionally, Chester is reducing ticket pricing for the Tattersalls Enclosure, which will provide racegoers access to the Paddock area from £20.

County Concourse ticket prices will also be frozen at 2022 rates, with plans being developed to create added customer value and improved customer experience across the course.

Tickets for all 2023 fixtures at Chester Racecourse will be available to purchase from Tuesday 8th November on their website - www.chester-races.com. This includes early bird tickets to the prestigious Boodles May Festival (10th-12th May 2023) and the opportunity to watch future Derby and Oaks winners. The Boodles Chester Vase and The Weatherbys Bloodstock Pro Cheshire Oaks Cup on the first day of the festival traditionally serve as trials for the Epsom Derby and Epsom Oaks respectively.

Louise Stewart, Chief Executive at Chester Race Company Ltd, said:

“Chester provides a unique race day experience for all attendees, and we hope that by having our entry level ticket price at £10 it provides a great day out racing at a great price. This will be applied to all racedays at Chester, including the Boodles May Festival and all our flagship fixtures.

“We are also reducing the ticket price for the Tattersalls Enclosure, freezing ticket prices for the County Concourse, and reviewing other areas where we can enhance value for customers across the racecourse.

“We will continue to review our race day and guest experience to encourage both our existing customers, and those new to the sport looking for an exciting day out, to visit us here at Chester.”
