A new Managing Director at Tiger Trailers to spearhead the trailer manufacturer’s continued growth
Cheshire employer experienced an extremely successful year during 2021
Ed Booth has been promoted from Finance Director to Managing Director of the Tiger Trailers group of businesses with immediate effect from January 13th 2022, a move that sees the HGV trailer and rigid bodywork manufacturer’s co-founders, John and Steven Cartwright, move from their positions as Joint Managing Directors, to sit as Executive Directors on the board alongside David Williams, with whom they established the firm in 2014.
“Joining Tiger Trailers last summer was an exciting step for me, and I have immensely enjoyed working with supportive, passionate and skilled colleagues across all areas of the business as Finance Director. It’s a privilege to have been appointed as Managing Director of a fast-growing firm that not only produces high quality products after listening to its customers, but also one that cares for its people, supports charities, and proactively helps to keep people safe”, says Ed.

Tiger Trailers posted record profits for 2020 and its financial performance for 2021 will be released shortly, with Ed Booth’s appointment as Managing Director timed to coincide with another exciting and promising chapter in the company’s history having commenced.
The significant Cheshire employer experienced an extremely successful year during 2021, growing significantly in line with the firm’s targets. Ed quickly made a positive impact on improving the company’s financial and business processes after joining in summer 2021. John, Steven and David will actively work with Ed on numerous strategic opportunities to support Tiger Trailers’ ambitious plans for the coming years.
Tiger Trailers produces heavy commercial vehicle trailers and rigid bodywork for a sizeable portfolio of household names along with other road transport operators. Its product range spans from curtainsided, box van and double deck trailers to temperature-controlled, flatbed, specialist and swap-body models. The company employs around 235 staff and has introduced a night shift in Q3 2021 to facilitate ever-increasing demand for its products. Tiger opened a purpose-built, 20-acre site in Winsford in 2019, and has since rapidly established itself as one of the UK’s leading semi-trailer and rigid bodywork manufacturers,
