Role:                   Careers Education - Quality Lead

Location:             Cheshire & Warrington (Wyvern House, Winsford/Hybrid)

Hours:                 Full time (37 hours per week) Part Time, Job Share, Compressed Hours & Secondments Considered

Duration:            Fixed Term Contract to 31st August 2026

Salary:                £37,137.20 per annum (pay award pending)

About the Careers Hub
The Cheshire and Warrington Careers Hub plays a vital role in leading a sub-regional careers strategy that supports young people in making successful transitions into employment, further education, or training. Working in partnership with the national Careers and Enterprise Company (CEC), the Hub ensures that national policy and local priorities are aligned to deliver meaningful, high-impact careers education.

Cheshire and Warrington Careers Hub is part of a wider and inclusive partnership which includes local authorities, schools, colleges, employers, and community partners, the Hub helps to ensure all young people—especially those facing barriers—gain the skills, insights, and confidence needed to succeed in the world of work.


The Role

This is an exciting time to join the Careers Hub to support the delivery of high-quality, impactful careers education and skills development across schools, colleges, and training providers.


This role will drive continuous improvement, foster employer engagement, manage strategic partnerships, and leverage labour market intelligence to ensure alignment with national policy and local economic priorities.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide expert guidance on interpreting and implementing national and local careers education policies and frameworks.
• Support education providers in embedding statutory guidance and best practices.
• Expand and manage a network of employer partners to deliver meaningful work experience opportunities.
• Build and sustain cross-sector partnerships with education, business, local authorities, DWP, and service providers.
• Provide stakeholders with up-to-date labour market data and economic forecasts.


Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
• In-depth understanding of the Gatsby Benchmarks, DfE statutory guidance, and Provider Access Legislation.
• Proven ability in strategic planning, change management, and performance monitoring.
• Expertise in embedding careers learning across the curriculum and supporting cross-curricular planning.
• Deep knowledge of local and national labour market trends, growth sectors, and employer needs.
• Understanding of barriers to participation for disadvantaged and underrepresented groups.
• Strong project management skills and ability to build and sustain partnerships.
