T-Levels

T-Levels

T Levels are a new qualification for students aged 16 to 19 in England who’ve finished GCSEs. They're an alternative to A levels and apprenticeships, giving young people the technical and practical skills needed to be an asset in the workplace. T Levels combine classroom learning with a substantial industry placement.

Each T Level is equivalent in size to 3 A levels and helps young people develop the knowledge, attitude and practical skills to thrive in the workplace.

At the heart of each course, every T Level student completes an industry placement that lasts a minimum of 315 hours (approximately 45 days). Industry placements give you a unique opportunity to help develop new talent in your industry, and get young people work-ready.

Over the next few years, T Levels will scale to include over 20 courses, covering 11 skill areas: Agriculture, Environment and Animal Care, Business and Administration, Catering, Construction and the Built Environment, Creative and Design, Digital and IT, Education and Childcare, Engineering and Manufacturing, Hair and Beauty, Health and Science and Legal, Finance and Accounting.
