Careers Hub

Informing and inspiring young people about careers and progression.

We’re proud to host the Cheshire and Warrington Careers Hub.

The Careers Hub is the strategic arm of the Department for Education, delivering the Careers and Enterprise Company’s mission to help every young person to make their best next step.

It is our responsibility to support our schools and colleges to connect into the world of work and build an intelligence led, inspirational careers provision that views school improvement through the lens of careers and builds a talent pipeline for Cheshire and Warrington priority sectors and the wider business community.

Every young person deserves the best possible start to their working life; to choose their path, fulfil their potential and contribute to a thriving economy.

Working with our employers, apprenticeship and training providers, senior education leaders and our local authorities, we are committed to amplifying technical and vocational routes so that all young people know about all potential options, supporting effective transition from education to work, further study or training and removing barriers.

As a result of clear strategic planning, the young people of Cheshire and Warrington are supported to develop industry knowledge and employability skills direct from employers, giving them the confidence to enter the world of work.

The Cheshire and Warrington Careers Hub have a long standing partnership with the Cheshire and Warrington Pledge. Together we put employers at the heart of inspiring young people about careers and progression. It works to ensure that both have career strategies and delivery plans. With the help of employers, charities, schools and youth groups we provide a coherent programme of inspirational opportunities for both employers and individuals. An example is a growing need for digital and STEM-related skills to help drive productivity across Cheshire and Warrington in line with the Enterprise Cheshire and Warrington priority sectors.
